Welcome to Matakohe Room Two's Blog, this is something new for us and we are hoping to post lots of news and stories along with what's happening in our classroom.
This week has been a busy one, we have been to the Water hole on Hamlin's farm to learn how to keep safe in deep cold water. How to get out of your jeans and sweatshirt because it might be dragging you down. We learnt how to put on a lifejacket, in deep water. Sounds easy doesn't it, well it wasn't. For most of the children this proved to be very difficult.
Taking off our jeans was also tricky. There are now 4-5 pairs of jeans residing at the bottom of the water hole.
Swimming sports today and hopefully lots of photos to post shortly.
We have some budding writers in the class and I will post some of their better sentences in due course.
